Virginia Farm Bureau parking lot

What’s Coming Back for 2018?

This year we are giving race participants the opportunity to share their connection to the infertility community on race day! At packet pickup, a special sticker that represents the statement you choose during registration will be included with your race bib. Wear your sticker on April 21st and help start a conversation about your journey!

This option is only available for Adult 5k race participants.

We will not hold packets if you are unable to attend the available packet pickup times. SHIRTS AND PACKETS WILL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED AFTER the stated packet pickup times; no exceptions.

Is the course USATF certified?

Due to the increased traffic on West Creek Parkway from the recent construction of an apartment complex in the business park, we had to adjust our course this year for the safety of our participants and to not impede residential traffic. Our USATF certification only covered our previous course layout and will not be in effect for our 2018 race due to the changes.

Will this be a chip-timed race?

The race will be chip-timed by Commonwealth Timing – we are so excited to have them be a part of our race! Visit www.commonwealthtiming.net/ for more information about this local timing company, right out of Chesterfield, VA!

Are iPods allowed on the course?

Yes, iPods and other personal listening devices are permitted. We ask that you please remember that you are sharing the roads with other participants. Always be aware of your surroundings.

Is the course stroller-friendly?

Absolutely – this is a stroller-friendly event! Please remember that you are sharing the roads with other participants so keep all strollers directly in front of you and move to the side to allow others to pass. Participants with strollers will be asked to line-up towards the back before the race begins.

Are leashed dogs allowed on the course?

Unfortunately, no.

Will Race Day Bag Check be provided?

There will be NO bag check provided.

Can I donate to the Road to Parenthood in addition to registering for the race?

Absolutely! Once you register for The Race to Parenthood 5k, you will receive the option to donate to the Road to Parenthood.

Do I have to register for the 5k to donate?

You don’t need to register for the race to donate! Consider making a donation to The Road to Parenthood to support our 2018 Featured Couples and others in the community facing difficult challenges related to infertility. Thank you for your support!

I want to register for the race, but do I have to run/walk or can I cheer on my team on from the sidelines?

You can register to become a “Cheer” participant! Each registration comes with a noise-maker, swag bag of goodies, a race t-shirt to the first 400 participants that register by March 31st, a raffle ticket, and plenty of photo ops!

Can I register to join more than one Featured Couple team?

Unfortunately, you can only register for one team during registration BUT remember, you are still supporting all of the Featured Couples by running/walking/cheering on race day!

How can I become a Featured Couple?

The Featured Couple application deadline for the 2018 race has ended, but we will be accepting applications for the 2019 in the fall of 2018!
